COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Position Summary: Compliance Specialist – The duties of this position involve performing reviews of our member agencies’ compliance with the requirements of preferred source legislation, regulations and guidelines.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform audits relative to member agency compliance with NYS statutes, regulations and OGS Procurement Council guidelines, and NYS Education Department ACESS-VR disability and employment requirements; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical assistance to member agencies, identifying performance or compliance issues. Examples of relevant topics include: prevailing wage, value added labor, employment ratios, time studies, etc.
  • Compile and report employment data, and make recommendations to the Vice President, Compliance, for establishing suggested corrective actions, performance measurement systems, etc.
  • Assist in developing and presenting training materials relevant to the preferred source program and its requirements for member agencies.
  • NYS travel required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or related field of study; or Associates Degree and 1-3 years’ experience in conducting audits.

Nature of job requires considerable CRT, keyboard, and mouse usage, walking around facilities and sitting for long periods of time. Must have visual acuity and hearing ability for communicating with others and gathering and accessing written and computerized information. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to access any location where company business is conducted.
