The Center for Disability Services is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to join our team!
Full-time position - Albany, N.Y.
This position supports the President/CEO, Executive Officers, the Governing Board, and General Counsel. Responsible for managing all activities for the President’s office – including: meeting scheduling, agendas, and minutes; correspondence; calendar; communications with consumers, families, and outside agencies. The Executive Assistant will act as the Secretary of the Governing Board, handling all document production, distribution of information and materials to/from Board members, coordinating meetings, and producing minutes. The Executive Assistant will provide secretarial support for the Center’s General Counsel.
Other responsibilities include: coordinates all Executive Management and Leadership meetings; accurate and timely processing of all contracts related to Center business, including having an understanding of what is required, securing content changes that are needed, and all proper and required review has occurred. Prepares and monitors the Administrative Services operational and capital expenditure budgets. The Executive Assistant communicates on a regular basis with Board members, government officials, and community members for the purpose of conducting agency business. Daily contact with Center staff at all levels for a multiplicity of reasons.
Qualified candidates must be strong decision makers, demonstrate excellent communication skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office (60-80wpm). Dictation/ transcription experience, Notary License, and paralegal degree/training preferred. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, English, Human Services or a related field preferred. At least 5 years experience supporting a Senior Executive is required.
